THE MORE NATURAL FILLER

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved facial injectable treatment that helps boost the skin’s own natural collagen production to restore its inner structure. Sculptra is a unique type of facial injectable that works differently from traditional fillers. While fillers immediately add volume to the face, Sculptra gradually stimulates collagen production to restore facial volume over time. This results in a natural-looking, more youthful appearance that can last up to two years.

ABOUT COLLAGEN

Collagen is a strong, flexible fibrous type of protein that is found throughout our bodies. It acts as skin’s support structure or scaffolding that helps maintain skin’s shape.

As we age, we lose collagen, and the skin’s inner structure is weakened, reducing its ability to maintain elasticity and moisture. Gradually, skin loses its youthful bounce, leading to lines, wrinkles, and folds, as well as a loss of skin volume and support.

Think of collagen like springs in a mattress. Over time, the springs weaken and the mattress on top starts to sag and crease. Similar changes in our skin happen as a result of both natural aging and sun exposure.

Sculptra works subtly and gradually over time within the deep, dermis layer of the skin, correcting shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds such as smile lines for a more youthful-looking appearance.

WHAT IS SCULPTRA?

Sculptra Aesthetic works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra helps stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging.

Sculptra is injected using very tiny needles, that are injected under the skin (sometimes using a cannula), setting it apart from many other fillers. It also differs from other injectables as it is placed evenly under an affected area while others are “spot” fillers placed directly under a wrinkle or line. Immediately after treatment, your injection specialist will massage the treated area to distribute the product evenly. This action helps to prevent the formation of nodules or bumps underneath the skin.
